Float Mounted Archival Pigment Prints Displayed in Handmade Hemlock Frames.
Digitally Printed 82 Page Book
The four prints pull from the moments that stuck with me the most: the quiet in-between spaces, the motion and rhythm of being on snow, and the feeling of traveling through vast landscapes that constantly shift your sense of scale, self, meaning. They focus on more than just snowboarding itself, they attempt to convey a sense of the trip, the light, the roads, the views, the weather, and the people you move through it with. Honest moments that provide a link to the memories held from this trip.
The book is a visual document from start to finish. No captions, no explanations, just the trip as it unfolded. From airports and city scapes to powder, rv lots, and turns of the trip, it’s meant to read like memory does: nonlinear at times, but honest. You feel the transitions, the downtime, the anticipation, and the small moments that usually fade by the time you get home.
